Sibling Class

Last night we took the girls to the hospital for a sibling class that prepares kids to be a big sister or brother. When Polly (the nurse who taught the class) asked Amelia if she was having a brother or a sister, Amelia said that she is having a little brother named French Fry French Fry. I don't know where she came up with that, but she really seems to like it and she thinks that we are actually naming the baby that. Polly taught the girls simple little things like not to pull on the umbilical cord clamp or stump and never to pick up the baby. They got to practice holding a life size baby doll and we even went up to the nursery to see a baby. When Ashley was holding the baby doll, she did not want to let it go and was very gentle with it. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. When Ashley was just a few days old, Amelia came out of nowhere and hit her with a hair brush. Luckily the jealousy didn't last for too long between them.
