Guy and I had good intentions to take the trailer out over spring break and go camping in Escalante, then, the stomach flu hit our family. We had my family over for dinner Easter Sunday, and I noticed that Elliot didn't eat too much. But I thought that was most likely due to the fact that he had eaten a large amount of Easter candy without me knowing. He woke up in the middle of the night and his sheets were messy with what I thought was chocolate drool, turns out it was throw up. On Monday, he pretty much just took it easy and fell asleep on the couch before dinner. Amelia was the next to come down with it on Tuesday. Luckily, she is really good to carry a bucket with her. Micah got it later that night and was pretty miserable. My mom decided to come and visit us on Wednesday since she had taken time off work to come camping with us. I should have told her to stay away. As she was visiting, I could feel myself starting to feel sick. Just before she left, Ashley spewed all over and my mom was nice enough to help clean everything up. Very nice of her, but big mistake. After she left, the bug hit me so Ashley and I set up camp in the living room with blankets covering the floor for any mishaps. Guy was in charge of dinner that night since just the thought of food would have sent me running to the bathroom. By the time Thursday rolled around, Guy was getting cabin fever being stuck at home with all these sick kids, and so he went for a ride with Elliot out to Topaz Mountain. Everyone else stayed home since I didn't think their stomachs could handle a long car ride. Plus, I really doubt that Guy would have liked to clean throw up out of his truck. By Thursday afternoon, my mom was starting to feel the stomach flu coming on. She spent the day on Friday trying to get better since her dad's 90th birthday party was the next day. We were all feeling better by Friday so we took the kids to Trafalga. Amelia tried rock climbing, they all loved the airplane ride, and we all played a round of miniature golf together. Just watching the rides go around was making my stomach turn. By the next day, Guy was feeling the effects of all of us being sick and he spent the day in bed. Not my favorite Spring Break ever, but at least the kids didn't have to miss any school when they were sick.

Easter Sunday
One of my favorite things about Easter Sunday as a kid was wearing a new dress to church. I had a little bit of a hard time finding dresses for the girls this year. I wanted to get them dresses that had sleeves so that they wouldn't have to wear a shirt under the dress or a jacket over the dress. And I also didn't want to spend a fortune on them. I finally found a dress for Ashley at Costco and Amelia's was from JCP. I also picked up a new tie for Micah in this season's hottest color, orange. However, I totally dropped the ball for Elliot. I'll do better next year.
Easter Fun
My mom and Steve hosted another fabulous Easter egg hunt and lunch this year. I think that it keeps getting better every year. Ashley and Elliot weren't digging the egg dying too much, but Amelia had an entire egg family. Micah would have happily drank the egg dye. The kids all walked away with great prizes and had a great time.
St. Patrick's Day
For St. Patty's Day, I took the kids to my mom's house for a little visit. When we got there, neither my mom or Steve were wearing any green so told the kids to hurry and go pinch them. After that, Steve wore a lot of green. My mom made sugar cookies with the kids and Ashley stuck with it until every last cookie was decorated. I love when the kids get to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa.
