I had intended to make shamrock shaped cookies for St. Patrick's Day. The dough was all ready but it just didn't happen. No problem. We just made spring cookies the next day and decorated them for family night. The kids had so much fun. I promise that Micah was there too. He was a little snitch grabbing cookies off the counter that had just been frosted.

How long?
I don't know when it started, but one day, Guy decided to stop trimming his goatee. I like his goatee and mustache to be short and nicely trimmed. After not trimming it for quite a while, Guy thought that he may as well just grow it out all winter until spring came. Wouldn't you know it that this was the longest winter ever?! Finally, he said that he would trim in when the outside temperature reached 70 degrees. As luck would have it, we had a nice little heat wave come through Springville on March 14th and it was 70+ degrees outside. I was so excited!! Truth be told, I have never seen Guy without facial hair. I keep trying to get him to shave it off completely but he won't do it.
Games
One thing that I know I need to do more of is sit and play with my kids. I have been very lucky to be blessed with kids who pretty much entertain themselves. It can be hard though when you have a two-year-old who just doesn't understand board games and just moves all the pieces around. It definitely frustrates everyone else who is trying to play the game. Usually by the time I get said two-year-old down for a nap, and I am ready for a little break too and really don't want to sit and play games or puzzles. But apparently, one day I did just that with Elliot. We had so much fun playing one game after another, just about until it was time for the girls to come home from school.
Hobble Creek Park
The girls had a four day weekend to celebrate the end of the third term so we also went to the park on Monday. Since their school follows a slightly different schedule, we were the only ones at the park and had so much fun. We went to a park that we had never been to before so everything was so new and fun. It was a little cold, but the kids didn't mind at all.
The kids were busy trying everything out which meant I was busy pushing, pulling, and catching.
