Sidewalk Repair

Sometimes, the most exciting things happen right outside our window. One morning, I looked out the window and the city had come to fix a sink-hole across the street. A few hours later, they moved over to my side of the street and started ripping out our sidewalk. One portion of it had sunk and the city finally decided to fix it. The kids have loved watching all the big trucks and construction equipment that has been on our street. We now have two new squares of sidewalk but the asphalt hasn't been fixed yet. Hopefully that will come soon. The girls and I loved making up our own song, "There's a hole in my sidewalk, dear Liza, dear Liza..."
