Extra Syllables

Amelia has this habit of adding extra syllables to some words. When we try to correct her and tell her the right way to say the word, she says that we can say it that way but she will continue to pronounce it her way. Our favorites are "hos-ba-bi-ble" for hospital and "pina co-la-da-la" for pina colada. And yes, I did teach her the Pina Colada song yesterday, which Guy wasn't too thrilled about. But in my defense, I only taught her the chorus. Ashley had a pina colada sucker and it inspired me to start singing and that is the song that came out. Amelia started singing it her own way by adding all kinds of things to "If you like pina coladas..."
